In the article titled “Institutional Experience of Routine Radiation Surveillance of Delay and Decay Tanks Facility in a Department Having High-dose Iodine Therapy Unit”, published in pages 83-86, Issue 2, Volume 39 of Indian Journal of Nuclear Medicine,[1]

1. The Graph legend of Graph 3 is written incorrectly. The correct Graph 3 legend should read as following:

Graph 3: A bar graph depicting the rate of radiation exposure at Location J & K around the delay and decay tank facility in 12 consecutive weeks

2. a. The term “J & K” was misspelled as “Jammu and Kashmir” on page 85, 6th Paragraph and 1st line, under paragraph heading Results and Discussion.

b. The term “J” was misspelled as “Jammu” on page 85, 6th Paragraph and 5th line, under paragraph heading Results and Discussion.

c. The term “K” was misspelled as “Kashmir” on page 85, 6th Paragraph and 7th, line under paragraph heading Results and Discussion.

d. The term “J” was misspelled as “Jammu” on page 86, 6th Paragraph and 8th line, under paragraph heading Results and Discussion.

e. The term “J” was misspelled as “Jammu” on page 86, 6th Paragraph and 13th line, under paragraph heading Results and Discussion.

The correct statement should be read as “On the other hand, at locations J & K, the RER ranges during our study period from 0.23 to 0.13 µSv/h with outlet valves of both delay tanks being closed and there is no active flow of sewerage through these points [Graph 3]. The J location is more than a 2-m distance away from DDT 1, with the location K being still further away. The recorded reading of RER at location J; could be attributed to the fact that DDT 1 was emptied before the start of the study. As we are using GM-based survey meter for the survey and being a highly sensitive instrument, it detects a minimal amount of radioactivity. Moreover, no increase in RER at location J was noted during the study, thus the above recorded RER may be attributed to background reading levels.”
